Alvin Ailey's legacy as one of the world's premier choreographers endures through this performance of three signature works: "For Bird with Love," "Memoria" and "Witness." Gary DeLoatch dances the title role in the first piece, a Charlie Parker tribute; April Berry appears in the second piece, Ailey's love letter to friend Joyce Tisler; and Marilyn Banks dances the third number, a solo piece. Artistic director Judith Jamison introduces the works.
