Actor Wendell Pierce narrates this unblinking documentary about the continuing efforts of a group of Louisiana residents to put their lives back together after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and the adjacent areas. After living for almost three years in a FEMA trailer park dubbed "Renaissance Village," the group faces the prospect of homelessness again when high levels of formaldehyde in the trailers force authorities to close the park.
Aliens land in South Africa and have no way home. Years later after living in a slum and wearing out their welcome the "Non-Humans" are being moved to a new tent city overseen by Multi-National United (MNU).
A teacher opens a time capsule that has been dug up at his son's elementary school; in it are some chilling predictions -- some that have already occurred and others that are about to -- that lead him to believe his family plays a role in the events that are about to unfold.
Have you watched Renaissance Village yet? What did you think about it?
