Fatima and Sister Anne have seemed alive in their minds, from the moment Fatima, in her mother's lonely hut, accepts an invitation to visit Bluebeard's castle until, after marrying him, he is about to behead her for entering the room where he keeps the heads of his ex-wives. Time and again, they have also rejoiced when Fatima's two brothers rush in, and they rejoice inwardly when they have chased away the evil Bluebeard, just in time to save poor Fatima's life.
