Clay pits were operative near Cefalù in the 1910s. This brief documentary shows us the different stages of the manufacturing process: from the hard job of extracting and transporting it to the artisan craftsmanship of the vase-makers and the artists decorating and painting the objects produced.

John Gary, a hotel owner, who wants to revitalize his business. After reading about a reported mermaid sighting, he has his daughter Ethel pose as a mermaid and gets a newspaper reporter to witness and photograph the mermaid.
The film pictures scenes on a big ostrich farm in Southern California, near Los Angeles. A large flock of several hundred of the big birds are seen feeding.
Grace Wallace was the only child of a widow of decidedly meager means. Mr. Rupert Howland, a widower of considerable wealth, the father of a girl child, and an old friend of the family, often surreptitiously helped them.
Bébé's father is attacked by the "apaches", a group of hooligans. Bébé and his sister decide to avenge him by gaining the group's trust and bringing them into a trap.
The West Texas Borax Company is practically insolvent. John Graham, the president, has been unable to find the white mineral in sufficient quantities to satisfy the eastern stockholders, and a letter from his partner arrives which brings the disagreeable news that their backers are about to back out, unless, in the language of Missouri, they "are shown" something.
