Footage of the city of Wetzlar in Hesse at the end of the war in November 1918. Among other things, Braunfelser Straße and Silhöfertorstraße can be seen. Buildings are decorated with wreaths and garlands made of pine branches. A sign reading "Welcome home to the undefeated" is stretched across the street. Men and soldiers walk sporadically through the streets, later joined by women, children, and troops returning home. Army vehicles are parked at the side of the road. Horse-drawn carts. Some small children run alongside the troops or watch them.
