A film by Jorge Bedoya Forga (Arequipa, 1902 - New York, 1968), a pioneer of amateur 8mm filmmaking in Peru, was filmed around 1935 and apparently records part of the funeral of Antonio Miró Quezada, a Peruvian journalist, lawyer, diplomat, and politician. Director of the newspaper El Comercio, he was assassinated in Lima on May 15, 1935, along with his wife María Laos Argüelles de Miró Quesada, by Carlos Steer Lafont, a 19-year-old leader of the Aprista Youth Federation.
