Mish Mish Effendi and his friend Fayoumi spend their time doing nothing in an alley in Bulaq, one of the poorer sections of Cairo. Pretty girl Su'ad wants to send a letter to her boyfriend Abu Ali asking him to come visit her. The letter ends up in Mish Mish and Fayoumi's hands and they embark to waylay her plans.
