Melodía Andina Trailer (1938)

This film is one of the great enigmas of Peruvian film production. Since neither a copy nor fragments of it have been preserved, its plot, genre, and other characteristics are unknown. We do not know if it was a documentary or a narrative film, although it is likely the former, judging by its publicity, similar to that of other films in the "travels through the interior of the country" genre or geographical descriptions. It could be assumed—a reasonable hypothesis—that it was a re-release of an old film in the "tourist documentary" genre, exhibited with a modified title. Searches to identify its producers or those responsible for the technical team have also been unsuccessful.
