The siblings, Kim Djin and Kim Tjiang’s characters are as different as between the earth and the sky. The older of the two is lazy and spoiled by his father. On the contrary, the father, Tan Koan Liong, underestimates the hardworking and honest, Kim Tjiang. His father even throws Kim Tjiang out of the house believing in Kim Djin's slanderous gossip. But in the end, Koan Liong realizes his mistakes.
