This film by Jorge Bedoya Forga (Arequipa, 1902 - New York, 1968), a pioneer of amateur 8mm filmmaking in Peru, contains footage from approximately 1940 and 1933 (in order of appearance). It records a typical bullfight and views of the old Arequipa airport. Also noteworthy is the appearance of a copy of El Pueblo, the oldest newspaper still in circulation in Arequipa. This work reflects his interest in documenting significant events, traditional practices, and important spaces in the city he lived in.
