Before liberation, Zhang Genbao came to a small town in eastern Zhejiang with his mother to learn art from the old tailor Liu Jinfa. Liu Jinfa had a daughter named Fengying, who lived a peaceful life together as a teacher and apprentice. After a few years, both Genbao and Fengying had grown up, and the old tailor decided to betroth his daughter to Zhang Genbao. Unexpectedly, the bully landlord Mr. Zhao wanted to take Fengying as his concubine.
