Driven by his attraction to Layonsari, the King orders his adopted son, Jayaprana, who is Layonsari's husband, to go far away to battle insurgents. Meanwhile, the King also sends Sawunggaling to kill Jayaprana and he is successful. But Layonsari commits suicide as she refuses to submit to the King's demands.
