A cinematic portrait of Gracjan Lepianko – a former boxer and inventor who, at the time of filming, was already an elderly man running an art repair shop. The film consists largely of shots from the workshop: close-ups of various artifacts, and an ironic off-screen narration, during which we learn interesting facts about Gracjan Lepianko's life.

A king Parthiban (Ramadas) gifts a rare anklet (salangai) to a dancer Aparajita (Kumari Madhuri). She begets the king's son, Amarendran and hands him over to a priest along with the anklet.
Jean Wells believes she kills a man during a hit-and-run one evening. A man named Joe appears and, in exchange for keeping silent about the murder, blackmails Wells.
