It shows elements that today have almost entirely vanished from the modern urban landscape: people washing clothes in the canal, sheep grazing in fields that had briefly escaped the construction of apartment blocks, and a hunting outing that begins on foot from the city—still visibly connected, along its edges, to the rural world.
