B, played by LI Ang, tells A, “I can’t possibly tell you what I don’t know, but the stairs can lead you to where you want to go. Isn’t that enough?” B is aware that she can’t fathom A’s rules. To A, the question already exists. If he can’t figure it out, it will keep haunting him like a wandering ghost.
