Ms. Fang (Emily Cheung) is a young teacher, who one rainy night gets in the wrong taxi (a seeming nod to Dario Argento's masterful SUSPIRIA (1977)). She is robbed and then stalked by a psychotic, shadow-faced taxi driver, who limbers up with nifty Michael Myers moves (including that patented quizzical tilt of the head). Mostly seen in silhouette, he pursues her through an abandoned building and leaves her battered, bruised – and as we later find out – pregnant.
Craig T. Nelson stars as Steve Freeling, the main protagonist, who lives with his wife, Diane, and their three children, Dana, Robbie, and Carol Anne, in Southern California where he sells houses for the company that built the neighborhood.
A widowed field mouse must move her family -- including an ailing son -- to escape a farmer's plow. Aided by a crow and a pack of superintelligent, escaped lab rats, the brave mother struggles to transplant her home to firmer ground.
A faulty computer causes a passenger space shuttle to head straight for the sun, and man-with-a-past, Ted Striker must save the day and get the shuttle back on track – again – all the while trying to patch up his relationship with Elaine.
