Shivalik Engineering Works is divided by two rival labor unions, one led by Madhav Verma (Om Puri) and the other by Krishnan Raju (Gopi), whose methods are completely opposite to Madhav’s ideals. The tension boils over when a factory worker is severely injured on the job. The two unions fiercely clash over the compensation issue, challenging Madhav’s position and his effectiveness as a leader.
A poor widowed farmer, Dharma Singh, raises two children, a boy (Karan) and a girl (Geeta) on his own in a town called Rampur, and would like his son to grow up to be a police officer.
Mallik is a henchman of Aslam Bhai, a Mumbai underworld kingpin. He inducts local hothead Chandu into the gang, and the two of them soon form a formidable faction within the gang, eventually displacing Aslam.
Five men get involved in a drug deal set up by a corrupt police officer, but the plan goes awry when the youngest member decides to steal the money.
