After someone is killed in the subterranean project called "Shadowzone," a NASA captain is called in to investigate. In the project, sleeping subjects are induced into a deep EDS state whereby they become portals to a parallel universe. Unfortunately this causes adverse reactions in the subject, and something gets through the portal, the consequence of which is an attrition problem.
A poor construction worker, who struggles to keep his son in private school, mistakes an orb he finds in a junkjard for a toy which proves to be much, much more once the young boy starts to play with it.
Mysterious creatures that have landed on the ground in a flying saucer, encouraging the people they meet to undergo experimental research in exchange for gaining youth and immortality.
Five film students are producing a documentary about the local zoo when suddenly the animals go berserk: The reason is a light ball flying by in the sky and crashing at the horizon.
A female alien returns to earth with a charismatic scientist, however her security lies in the balance when she suspects that he is hiding something from her.
