The story of the set design for Léos Carax's film Les Amants du Pont-Neuf, filmed from the start of construction in 1988 until its destruction in 1991, when filming was finally completed. Punctuated with interviews, often spectacular images retrace the successive stages of the monumental reconstruction of the Pont-Neuf and its surroundings in the vicinity of Montpellier. The commentary evokes the many technical and financial vicissitudes of one of the greatest sets in the history of cinema.
