Igarashi Kozue, a nurse at a Tokyo university hospital, feels bored with her job despite her experience. Yamazaki Natsumi, a younger nurse, is enthusiastic. Shibata Yuichi, a soccer student, is admitted with a fracture and a tumour, facing potential amputation. Igarashi helps Yamazaki support Yuichi, but Yamazaki resigns due to lost confidence. Yuichi’s frustration leads to a misunderstanding, causing him and Igarashi to resign. A soccer match for former cancer patients, organised by Professor Oiwa, helps Yuichi regain hope.
