Anna Beck, a junior doctor, breaks out of her deadlocked relationship with a career-minded lawyer when he puts her under increasing pressure. When she meets Michael, a marine biologist who uses dolphins for therapy, her life seems to change for the better. Shortly after her wedding, when her happiness seems complete, Anna is diagnosed with a brain tumor.
