"Maximum Passion. Maximum Risk."07 January 2000Thriller92 mins
When a scion of LA industry dies in the arms of a prostitute who won't hand him his heart tablets, his three squabbling adult children head for a weekend at the family's remote, high-desert cabin to sort out the estate. Ethan, the ambitious, cruel eldest brings his mousy wife Jackie. The ne'er-do-well brother Dennis, with an alcoholic past and big gambling debts, brings his new girlfriend, Zoey. The youngest, Audrey, seems detached. At a rural gas station, Dennis rescues a woman from an abusive boyfriend, and he invites her to stay with them. She's Nichol, and she looks vaguely familiar. Who's aligned with whom in the struggle for money and control? Who's weak, who's strong?
A talented violinist's prestigious new role as a music tutor for an enigmatic, elite family spirals into a psychological battle for her safety and sanity.
A wheelchair-bound young girl returns to her father's estate after ten years, and although she's told he's away, she keeps seeing his dead body on the estate.
A twisted teenage prostitute and an equally deranged vicious killer manage to escape from the pen and embark on a non-stop orgy of violence and debauchery, all while hoping to make it across the border into Mexico in order to seek refuge with the mysterious Sister Gomez.
Professional killer Gav Reed commits a grave mistake allowing himself to be videotaped (as she always does, for a documentary she hopes to sell to Hollywood about the real nocturnal 'eldest business' there) by Julie Spencer, one of Max 'Slim' Reuter's hookers and porn actresses, whom he had sex with before - and while making a most incriminating call about his murder attempt at a high society campaign party for mayor Garland's electoral challenger Mary Washington, where the bullet is however caught by councilor Frank Constantine, who also survives.
Have you ever seen that perfect woman who you absolutely have to meet, but you don't know what kind of guy she goes for? Roxanne Chance and Cole are private investigators who can get you that information.
