Mingjun (Chen Mingjun), moved by the love story of lame painter Ah Jie (Lin Jianfeng) and blind girl Ah Ai (Lian Lian), risks his life to perform a miraculous cure, restoring Ah Ai's sight. Unfortunately, human nature is inherently evil. Three months after regaining her sight, Ah Ai becomes addicted to other things and begins an affair with groom Alan (Chu Weida), subsequently becoming a masseuse. Mingjun resolves to heal the infatuated Ah Jie's legs, allowing him to regain a healthy physique and redeem his "true love" with Ah Ai. However, unpredictable circumstances persist, and at Alan's instigation, Ah Ai shoots Ah Jie's legs in the head. In the accident, the gunfire also blinds , causing her to bleed profusely.
