Akira is a struggling actor in Hollywood who is desperate for money. He accepts a job to transport a gang's briefcase to Texas, expecting an easy payday. But things quickly go wrong when rival gangsters begin chasing him. Then there's Onimaru, the yakuza hired as his partner, who threatens Akira and wants the case for himself. Along the way, Akira also picks up Tamara, a woman traveling alone who is battling cancer. With gangsters on his tail, a dangerous briefcase in his possession, and trouble around every corner, Akira must fight his way across America and complete the delivery.
