E3 (∞, E = eternity, 3 = 3 month) is the first work trying to capture my drawing and painting style into a moving picture. It captures the beginning, with all its enthusiasm, energy and more or less sub-conscious hope that things develop differently in a new space. Followed by the phase were everything slows down to finally result in a complete breakdown into everyday life. This cycle happens over and over again, in all scales, in all relations … sometimes it can be a cozy, pleasant state … while other times it seems like Don Quixote, fighting against windmills …

Utilising an apparently new-found obsession with the colour red and reinvigorating some of the circular imagery of A Man and His Dog Out for Air and 69, Breer delves into the very basis of animation to explore how a variety of easily recognisable objects can be portrayed and manipulated differently using pixillation and classically drawn animation.
Burr creates a slow, liminal illusion in black-and-white, switching perspectives and matrices and crescendo-ing in time with Christopher Doulgeris’ portentously pulsating soundtrack.
Inhabited by multiple bereavements due to a long journey with HIV/AIDS, characters parade in a perpetual winter.
