Mas é com Elis Regina que Tom Jobim divide a interpretação daquela que se tornaria uma de suas obras-primas, "Águas de Março". Registrado em 1974 em Los Angeles, durante as gravações do LP "Elis e Tom", apresenta os dois cantando de forma descontraída e animada. A música, definida por Chico, como "o samba mais bonito do mundo", levaria a paixão de tom pela natureza a uma popularidade nunca antes alcançada.
