This Sick & Twisted traveling cartoon festival was an offshoot of the Spike & Mike Animation Festival, which began as filler at rock concerts twenty-five years ago and remains the leading venue for cutting-edge cartoons. Now a part of the Cannes and Sundance Film Festivals, these yearly events have a massive dedicated following that continue to fill arenas in over 50 markets nationwide. Offering new and upcoming animators a place to showcase their films, the Spike & Mike Animation Festivals have launched the careers of now-famous animators such as Matt Stone and Trey Parker (South Park), Nick Park and Peter Lord of Aardman (Creature Comforts, Chicken Run), Craig McCracken (The Powerpuff Girls), Mike Judge (Beavis and Butthead) and John Lasseter (Toy Story, Monsters Inc.) to name a few.
