Dasha is beautiful, intelligent, charming — and not very happy. She can’t find a job, and by the age of thirty her personal life has never truly worked out; all the worthy men seem to have already been snapped up by more assertive women. Just when it seems that her last hope has faded, he appears. Alexander is a successful businessman and an attractive man who is equally unlucky in love. As often happens, while he was busy building his business, his best friend began an affair with his bored wife. As a result, Alexander divorced her, and she left the country with her new husband. Now he is raising his daughter on his own. The teenage girl constantly demands attention that her father cannot give her, and so a governess appears in the house.
