Murakawa Yoshizumi is at a loss as to how to affirm the life he has lived and how to live his life from now on, amidst an unstable situation where his wife and child have abandoned him and he has been laid off.
The story begins when Yoshizumi happens to come across a letter and discovers that it is from a young couple who were separated during the Pacific War.
