Ride along as the vibrant history of Wisconsin's steam railroading era on the Chicago and Northwestern System lives again through Ladwig's laser-clear recollections and affectionate reflections. In his 35 year career on the C&NW Jim worked many jobs, including his last 20 years as a conductor on the Ashland Division. His evocative tales of life on the tracks authentically capture the sights, sounds and even smells of those thrilling days when steam ruled the rails!
