One day Mila and her husband go on vacation to the village. A fire breaks out in the house where they are staying, after which the young woman disappears. Relatives, unable to find her, believe that Luda died in the fire… In fact, the heroine managed to survive. After a long ordeal, she arrives in Moscow and ... finds Timur in the arms of his father's young wife. The shocked woman discovers the bitter truth: her husband only pretended to love her, and her death did not upset him at all. The only goal of the faithful is to get Lyudmila's father to receive an inheritance. What remains for a woman who has lost all illusions overnight?
