Thirteen people fell to the "stake killer" before he was captured and executed in 1799. Even today whispers of his name roam through the secluded german highlands. Unaware, a group of young backpackers sets out on a hiking trip to the swabian alb. But this innocent outing will soon become a horrifying nightmare. Chased by a mysterious killer, they have little time to solve the riddle. Has Falksenstein returned? And how do you defend yourself against an immortal enemy?
