Of the more than 100,000 people who go missing each year, those who remain missing for seven years are declared dead and, in the records, cease to exist. These individuals, who continue to live in the underworld, are called "Shibito", and their lives range from those who commit crimes to those who fight in the shadows to protect the nation. Hayato and Keiji, who run a bar, are also among the Shibito, continuing their fight until one day they meet a mysterious woman named Akane, which leads them into a tragic incident.
