Caterina Sordini, a young woman in 18th-century Italy, renounces her arranged marriage after a divine vision and enters a convent. There, she embraces a life of faith and founds a religious order devoted to the perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, enduring persecution and exile during the Napoleonic era.
