Released in 2011 and directed by Ermes Medina Valiente, Che Pykasumi: El Vuelo de un Amor is a drama film based on the true story behind the song. It follows the forbidden, tragic romance between the poet Cecilio Valiente and a woman named Luisa Carmona. Their families strictly opposed the relationship due to social class differences.
