This release documents a selection of live performances from the Wacken Open Air festival in 2011 - one of the largest heavy-metal festivals in the world. It includes a wide variety of metal and hard rock bands performing before a massive festival crowd. The package features multiple DVDs (or Blu-Ray) and in some editions accompanying CDs. It gives both a stage-front view of the performances and a sense of the festival atmosphere: major acts, big production, outdoor open-air energy, and the heavy-metal culture around it.
