But Route 66 also leads through the land of cowboys. Oklahoma City and Amarillo are home to two of the largest cattle markets in the USA. Saloon style steakhouses are the attraction of the area. They offer a special test of courage, the consumption of a two-kilo steak. If you manage it within an hour, you are a guest of the house.
