In June 2012, a relay team of eight cyclists from the Canadian sub-Arctic and nine crew participated in the 5000 kilometer Race Across America (RAAM) in Support of the Food First Foundation. The original goal of the team was to simply finish the grueling race from California to Maryland and not come in last.
