The lives of a matriarch, her two sons, and her niece are never the same again as they come to terms with an indiscretion in the family. A pivotal decision is made and a downward spiral ensues wherein the outcome can be no less than earth-shattering.
The film centres on Moncho and his coming-of-age experience in Galicia in 1936. Moncho develops a close relationship with his teacher Don Gregorio who introduces the boy to different things in the world.
A pair of recently married gay men are threatened by one of the partners' brother, a religious fanatic who plots to murder them after being ostracized by his church.
The film follows the marital and dating lives of three men and three women who unknowingly form a tangled web of relationships.
