The Super Cholo's Revenge was written by Óscar Catacora and produced by Cine Aymara Studios. Filmed in Puno, the movie falls into the minimalist western genre. Made on a low budget, the story is inspired by the short story "The Champion of Death" by Enrique López Albújar.
