The film presents one day in the life of several inhabitants of the city of K.: a divorced father and his 6-year-old daughter, who see each other once a month; a waitress at the cafe "Close People", who is waiting for the results of tests of her seriously ill mother; an elderly professor celebrating his birthday alone; a young guy leading a nocturnal lifestyle and not thinking about his mom at all. Each of the characters will find themselves in the cafe "Close people" this morning, the specialty of which is a magical chocolate cake that can unite people.
