Humans have depleted forests not only in the Amazon, but also in countries such as Thailand and Laos, where the jungle once served as a place of spiritual refuge and mental cultivation for monks of the Thai Forest Tradition. Monks of this lineage had inhabited these environments for generations. They lived and meditated in the forests, cared for their surroundings, all while freeing their minds from defilements and illusions. Their world is disappearing along with the trees around them, as well as with the dwindling support of a society increasingly focused on wealth. Marcin Fabjański, together with the Wonderwoods Film Foundation and in cooperation with the Theravada Foundation, sets out in search of the last legendary masters hidden deep in the inaccessible jungle. He hopes to speak with them and meditate under their guidance.
