4 young amateur-parapsychologists try to prove the non-existence of ghosts, spirits and souls by demonstrating purely the existence of residual energies in so called 'haunted houses'. Team leader Soren Stefansson (Ed Coupland) has a hidden agenda; he wants to communicate with these energies by taking the self-made hallucinate drug 'spo0K'.
