Silent reflections / Reflections on silence # 1 explores the urban lifeworld in an experimental-ethnographic style. It reflects the experiential condition of the metropolis with its fleeting visual and auditory complexity, fragmented in space and time. There is silence on the lips of the "travelers" through urban space, faces and bodies are like reflections, ghostly and unapproachable, the city made of electronic signals, shiny surfaces and rattling machines.
After a self-destructive lifestyle nearly kills her, tormented young Anne learns to open up and let go of her traumatic past through a new found passion for boxing.
"Panic Attack!" is a hand-drawn animation from the point of view of a woman having a panic attack. I wanted the transitions between reality and her imagined fears to be seamless, so there are no edits -- it is one continually transforming drawing.
