The movie’s story revolves around a boy who comes back home after completing his studies abroad. Though the boy belongs to a rich family, his character is that of a strong willed and self determined young man who wants to make a name for himself of his own accord. And before he makes this journey, he travels to Malopathar, Jorhat which is a metaphorical journey of its own and he finds love in the arms of a girl in the village. And thus, the problem of the ‘rich and poor’ divide come into play and causes the turbulence in their relationship. Overcoming the hurdles of their relationship and how their love has a happy ending is the main theme of the movie ‘Ojanite’.
