When the Belgian company Ex Funeris announces that it can bring recently deceased people back to life, the world immediately plunges into chaos. Eight months later, an enigmatic armed man roams a post-apocalyptic Belgium where survivors are trying to organize themselves. The Resurrected are amorphous and harmless, but some awaken and become aggressive, attempting to devour anyone who crosses their path. They are called The Awakened, and their bite is extremely contagious.
