Inspired by his own experiences with ayahuasca, a plant infusion traditionally used in healing and self-discovery ceremonies by peoples of the Amazon, director Jan Kounen embarks on a spiritual, visual journey. He attempts to capture the physical and hallucinatory states of such a ceremony on film.
