"Dream Awakens in the Golden City" is a modern urban business drama film inspired by the 40th anniversary of China’s Reform and Opening-Up, particularly focusing on the development of Shenzhen. As a tribute to this milestone, the film follows the story of a promising young entrepreneur, Ma Sanmu, who is framed by a business rival and falls into an investment scam, leaving him buried in massive debt. It is only then that he realizes his opponent has been targeting his technological innovations all along. Taking full responsibility, Ma undergoes a transformation, determined to outmaneuver his adversaries and escape the trap. He sets out on a mission to revive the nation's tech industry.
