Just think about it, so much of the food we consume throughout the day has been carefully planted, cared for, and plucked by a farmer, so even if you don’t personally know one– you are certainly rewarded by their dedication. A recent challenge for the farming community has been climate change. To reduce its negative impact on farmer livelihood, the Environmental Defense Fund and NC A&T University partnered to teach climate-resilient practices. When the practices proved effective and financially beneficial, the Environmental Defense Fund partnered with us to document their project’s success.
