Deep in the Alaskan wilderness, on the shore of the legendary Lake Iliamna, lies a historic renowned hunting and fishing lodge. The lodge is home to one of the best remaining and most pristine sock-eye salmon runs in the world. A place so remote it’s accessible only by an often-treacherous boat ride or seaplane; only the most adventurous have made the journey. Unoccupied for 30 years, a group of investors and friends has decided to attempt to restore and potentially reopen the lodge. The scope is daunting, and they could lose it all but with great risk comes great reward. Bears, bugs and weather are only a few of the challenges they face but with deep conviction and planning they may prevail… This film was a labor of love and much like the lodge we were faced with our own challenges.
